Weekend with the Carter Clan

We had a great time this weekend with the Carters (sans Sean) at the Zermatt Resort in Midway.

It was absolutely beautiful up there.

We loved the pool...

And tried to take some "color assignment" pictures for my photography class...

We loved breakfast at Chicks.
Where coincidentally, Blaine and I had our very first date.
(Like, VERY first date... like, a decade ago... round one dating cycle.)
It was awesome and nostalgic.

Then, we headed to SLC gateway and had a lot of fun playing in the fountains... well, Jake and Jack had fun playing. The rest of us had fun watching them.

Shooting...

So, Saturday afternoon Blaine went shooting with Scott, Brett, and Jesse... leaving a napping Jake and me at home. Well, when the little man woke up an hour early and started throwing fits, I decided to get out of the house and head south to meet up with the guys.
I'm so glad we did. Jake was in heaven and the afternoon was pretty perfect... Jake loved running wild and collecting shotgun shells and stashing them in his pockets. He didn't even mind the earplugs we shoved in his ears.
No more fits.
Until JCW's later on. I love these 18 month tantrums.
