Another Sister!

Meet my new sister-in-law, Robyn. She is awesome. Brett is one lucky guy to score a girl like this. {Okay, she's lucky too.} They are getting married in September and I can't wait.

This is my favorite picture from today's photo shoot. I just can't decide if I like it better in color or black and white.

Bob

This is my dad with his best friend, Bob Hill. Bob's been in and out of the hospital for a bit lately, but is home now. *phew*

I love that my dad made a special visit to see Bobby. {Plus, it was kind of awesome to get to see my dad while he was in town.}

Anyway, during my visit with Bob, I snapped this picture of the buddies. The Hills were our neighbors where I grew up in W.J. and they are the best. I have so many memories of babysitting their kids, and of my dad and Bob playing some crazy-competitive versions of ping-pong or basketball. They used to play H.O.R.S.E. late into the night, except their version of it was B.U.T.T.H.E.A.D. ...Yeah. :)

Anyway, when my dad got a call from another friend of his, Bob {who is easily one of the funniest people I've ever known}, confided in me -with a sneaky grin on his face- that he doesn't like my dad having other friends.

Bob: Who is this guy Chuck?

Me: Oh, his buddy from Portland. They work together.

Bob: I don't think I like him having other friends outside of my universe.

Me: Oh, don't worry, Bob.

Bob: Do they play B.U.T.T.H.E.A.D. together?

Me: laughing

Bob: I'll bet they play S.W.E.E.T.H.E.A.R.T.

Am I the Last to Know???

H&M is coming to Fashion Place Mall this Fall. I think I am the last girl in the state to know this information, but I am so freaking happy about this news.

Duckies

The other night we went to the picturesque canal {sense the sarcasm??} to feed the duckies. It was fun even though the canal was filthy.

Alison

Alison Anderson came into town last week and I am still on cloud nine.
Thank you, Alison for the ridiculous "dress like a cow and get a free meal" lunch at Chick-Fil-A {that we refused to take part in}, and the perfect retreat at the park afterward.
Man, people are crazy for free crap that is so not worth it.
I love this girl!

Play-group and Sprinklers

It must be said again how much I love play-group. Sprinklers, sunglasses, friends, and popsicles... can you ask for anything more?

Karley and Kimmy liked Sarah's sunglasses too.
{Yes... Sarah and Karley have the same hat. Karley gave Sarah hers for her birthday.}

New Mexican Fourth

To say we had a lot of fun in New Mexico is an understatement. It was awesomely epic. I have seen Doug and Jen's and Sean's pictures and I think it is fair to say these don't do the long weekend justice. It was perfect.

First things first-- get in the pool!

Jake found that he had a knack for the water-guns.

It took Sean and I a few tries to get this one.

We all had fun with the underwater camera case.

Everything's better with an Otter-Pop.

Love this boy.

Baby Van.

In the "boat".

Under the "boat".

I love Jack's expression here... it took him a while to warm up to the water, but when he did, he was full-throttle.

An intense game of water-basket-ball.
(At this point in the weekend, Blaine was under strict "beach-jail" arrest.)

The boys.

More water-basket-ball.

Oh, I love Amy.

If you're lucky enough to know the Carter boys, you know their affinity for making up ridiculous games and/and or competitions. This game/competition was called, "How Much Can You Take?" It started small, then escalated from there.

On the way to Durango for the afternoon.

We wore poor Jake out in the pool.

Oh, Blaine.

On our way to see the trains.

Sean.

The train museum.

This model train set-up made Disney World's look pint-size. Jake was in heaven.

Blurry picture, but Miles (mini-Brent) is too cute.

Here comes the train!

Jen helping the boys sort and count their rocks.

Swinging at the park.

I promise she loves it. She cries whenever we take her out.

Awe.

This is from the night of the third. Farmington actually does fireworks on the third every year (genius!) We loved watching fireworks and playing with the glow-sticks we brought.
