The day after Doug and Jen's big day, the Carters (plus Shad and Amy) hit Moochie's {AMAZING philly sandwich!} and Hogle Zoo for a couple hours. It was great.

I don't know how it is possible but I think jake has gotten cuter than when I saw this past weekend?! WTF :) what a blast! I love that drinking fountain in the lion's mouth..ah the memories!
i agree - that kid is freakin' adorable.
How old was the baby giraffe? When we went a couple months ago one of the giraffes was pregnant and due any minute. Cute baby - both the giraffe and your kid too.

I have a love/hate relationship with zoos. I'm okay with zoos as long as they let the animals roam nicely and the animals look like they're content. I get disturbed by the ones where the animals just lay there. It just feels wrong...us staring and gawking at these animals that should be in a better habitat. I've never been to Hogle Zoo but the L.A. zoo is disturbing. Tucson Zoo is amazing! I love it! Glad you guys had fun. And what amazing eyes Jake has.

I don't care how old you are- the zoo is awesome. It's always super nostalgic, and takes me back to being a kid. I love it!
