Retro

Every now and then I wander over to the Encore Retro channel and catch a real classic.

The other night I made Blaine watch a bit of How To Marry A Millionaire with Marilyn Monroe. Classic and hilarious on so many levels.

But nothing beats watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with Jakey the other day. I told him we were watching some real cowboys and he loved it. Then, Daddy came home and we all watched it together as a family.
Now, that's quality time.

Thanks, Retro.
Oh, why don't they make them like this anymore.

  1. Good, quality family time. Love it!
Oh, and yeah-I decided that my patriotic songs from July 4th needed to be swapped, so I put on that song (was tempted to add several -like Violent Femms and such) 'til I create my Christmas my Christmas mix:)

  2. Love it! Those two are "real" men! No "too pretty" faces...and nothing femine about them. In fact, the other day, I totally had the strangest dream about Robert Redford...let's just say we were "dating"....what's funny about this is that he is Nannie's age....you'd think if I was gonna have a "dream" about a celebrity, i'd pick someone closer to my age. (hahaha) Don't judge me...at least I have good taste! Love the classics! Love ya, Larabelle :)

  4. I love that Jake watched it. My kids get bored if it isn't Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. (Although I have almost got Emery to watch all of Sound of Music with me). Classics are awesome.

  5. As a teenager I had a huge poster of The Sundance Kid on my bedroom wall. I know, you would have chosen Butch Cassidy instead but the way I figure it, they are both delicious. It's a win-win. What a great movie and I think Jake just might need to start wearing a cowboy hat.
