Disney World! {Thursday}

Thursday was our character "meet and greet meal" with Secret Agent Oso, Handy Manny, and a couple Little Eintstein kids. After Blaine's last day of classes, we took a bus into Disneyworld Hollywood Studios and made our way to our restaurant, Hollywood and Vine.

Nona with her baby girl.

I think Chris looks so pretty in this picture.

Jake waiting for the bus.

Here we are! Secret Agent Oso!

All four of us with Handy Manny. Jake was so excited. I love the expression on his face... and the shine on mine. It was soooo hot and humid in Florida.

Check out this face. I like that when Sarah smiles, you see her bottom teeth more than her top ones.

I think that Jake really believes he is "Jake" from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Pretty cute.

Hollywood Studios is pretty cool. It's a lot like California Adventure in Disneyland, but bigger and with more action/stunt shows. I wish I had taken some pictures from "Lights, Motors, Action!" It was really impressive.
Anyway, here is a San Fransisco street scene.

And a New York street scene.

This is kind of a back-lit, pixelated  picture, but Jake loved playing in the fire hydrant fountain.

I looooove this picture (and the ones that follow).
It almost makes buying this stupid spray-bottle fan worth it. (I still can't believe I bought this for Jake--neither can Blaine.) Disney makes a killing on suckers like me who buy these things for their kids at $17.00 a pop. At least it kept us cool for the rest of the trip.

He was just so happy to have it.

Why are sleeping pictures of your kids at Disney so great?

This was actually my second time to Disney World. I went once in high school with my drill team when I was a Senior. I don't remember much (it was 14 years ago!), but I DO remember The Tower of Terror. Yeah, it's now in California Adventure, but in 1997 it was only here. And it was the coolest ride I had ever been on. Ever. I think we must have gone on it a dozen times.

The Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster was bitchin'.
If this had been here in 1997 I think I would have died and gone to heaven.

A little more Aerosmith. And Chris.

Jake did everything with his new favorite toy from here on out.

Practicing her balance.

Someone woke up.
(We take what we can get in Disney.)

This is a little weird, but Jake would drink out of this when he was thirsty. He had a sippy-cup. He just didn't want it after he could figure this out.

I thought this was so cool. Some of the original Snow White drawings and sketches. I am a sucker for all art. And Snow White.

This one's for my mom. Cool 'eh?

At the Disney Junior Live on Stage! show. This show now features Jake and the Neverland Pirates. It's really cute.

At our hotel winding down before we took off again to Epcot (which I didn't get any pictures of).
Anyway, I wish I had taken pictures of this little scene more than just this one time. Everyday when we would get back to our room, Jake would discover his little Mickey relaxing on his "cool bed". Sometimes Mickey would be cuddled up under Jake's star blanket, and sometimes (like this time) he's be reading Jake's Thomas book with the Thomas trains at his side. It was adorable and so cool that the maids would do this everyday.
Only at Disney. :)

  1. Wow I have so many comments. First off, I'm sorry I haven't commented on your other DisneyWorld pics. Love that you guys got to go there. Did you know we used to live there and my dad worked there and back then we could just roam the whole park. I was like 4 and my brothers were 6 and 8. Different times.

Spencer would have LOOOOVED this character meet and greet especially. And is sad thought that he doesn't know who Jake the Neverland pirate is? We've never even heard of it. Living the life in Germany. :)

Love all the pictures, and love that you got suckered into the fan. I would have to. I'm just like that, but feel SUPER guiltu afterward.

I literally laughed out loud (and it was even louder cuz it's almost 2 a.m. here and very quiet) when you called the Aerosmith Rollercoaster bitchin. Brought me back to the good ol days. hahah.

And i love the story about the mickey being placed different places. That was spencer's favorite thing on the cruise... to go find the chocolates and see what towel animal they had made. They would make them into special characters and hide the chocolate cuz they knew he loved looking for it. And yup, it was a Disney cruise.

Can't wait to see more. Hopefully there is!

  2. I'm still smiling from reading this post. I am so happy that you guys had a fantastic time with your kids and with Steve and Chris. I think one of my favorite things is that those maids would take the time to make it special for a little boy they didn't even know. Awesome.

  4. What is the Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster?!! Sounds fantastic! I don't even know what to comment on, because I kept smiling over and over as I scrolled through this post. Your kids are so happy and adorable (especially Jakey, in all his Disney-loving happiness), and I am super jealous of all the amazing things (let's face it -- MAGICAL!) you guys got to experience by staying inside the park like that. Love.
