I watched this last night with my mom, my sisters (ALL of them) and even my brother, Scott.
It was so rad I can't explain it. While I still love the original (hello... Kevin Bacon! Sarah Jessica Parker!), this one rocked my world. I loved it.
It was just the right amount of "new" and "retro".
Especially when Ren said, "Jump back." and "I thought this was a party. Let's DANCE!"
Awesome.
Go see it if you want to smile. A lot.
Lucky!
ReplyDeleteWith your stamp of approval - I can't wait to see it. I really wish Zac Efron was in it.
ReplyDeleteIt was SO fun! Hmmm...Our feet lined up on the rail and dancing to the title song, you and Laurel playing "Wilson", laughing in the parking lot. This is the stuff that great memories are made of.
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!!!!!! I can't stop thinking about this movie. I kind of want to see it again. Movies 8?
ReplyDeleteLoved every second of this night. <3
ReplyDeleteWith your recommendation - I saw it.
ReplyDeleteI loved that they stayed so close to the original and I "sighed" out loud when she came out in a peach off-the-shoulder dress.
Biggest mistakes in the new one - 40-year-old Chuck, and the racially ambiguous version of Rusty.
This is one of the greatest movie memories of my life! All of us there was freakin' fantastic. Seriously! When we were all dancing and moving our feet and singing along! I absolutely loved the movie keeping true to the old one and loved all the new cast members but mostly what made the movie great was who i went with! priceless!
ReplyDeleteLoved it! Seriously fell in love with Ren!
