It was terrifying as I really don't have any clue what I am talking about. Ever.
But I loved doing it and getting to know some wonderful women in my new ward. Anyway, I had come across a few cute photo checklists on Pinterest, but nothing that was on the mark. So, I made my own version for the event.
I took some new pictures of our new digs to mix in with some older photos... and since my little lesson was on "Capturing Christmas" and how to celebrate the season through photography, this is me sharing...
Our advent calendar.
It doesn't fit on the kitchen counter like it did at our old house, so it sits in the window above the sink.
The decorated front door.
Finally, and real mantle for the stockings.
I still love these stockings my mom monogrammed for me.
I love that my "White Christmas" movie poster has a better spot here. It got a little hidden in our old house. *Oh, Bing!*
The mantle looks great, and I'm glad everything went so well!
ReplyDeleteAlicia, that is seriously impressive! Nice work! WOW! I still remember being home for Thanksgiving when your mom monogrammed the B,A and J and you prego with the S...that was a fun memory!
ReplyDeleteWe'll have the hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby danced with Danny Fing Kaye!!! great movie referencing an even greater one!!! Love Bing! Now where are your silk-screened t-shirts of the movie poster???!!!! hahaha! we miss you
I love the idea of a holiday photo check list!
ReplyDeleteAnd your tree....THE BOMB!
AND, your front door....THE BOMB! :)
I'm so glad your new ward realizes how many amazing things you can do! I hope they keep you busy busy busy! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the deco - and the checklist. Add photography to the things on my list that I want to be better at!
You've created a Holly Jolly Christmas! Not that Burl Ives can truly compete with Bing Crosby.
ReplyDeleteI always love your tree. It's so cute. I love the curtains I see there too! Your house is so festive!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your advent calendar house. Do you know what brand it is? It's perfect! Thanks!
