Sleigh Bells Ring...

Steve and Chris treated us all to a Christmas sleigh ride up past Durango. It was snowing and freezing and completely magical.
I loved every second of it.
Thanks again, family!
(We look colder than we really were.)

Call me a total geek--but I couldn't help but think of this poem the whole ride...

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

I can't tell if that looks fun to me- or completely miserable. The pic of you covered in frosty snow gave me the chills just looking at it. But- what a cool thing to do during the holidays.

Dang! That looks like so much fun! I didn't even know that there was stuff to do like that around here. Was that in Durango?

You guys look all cozy bundled up in your warm clothes! And the fact that it was snowing makes it that much better! How did the kiddos do? I can't decide if Crew would of like it or not. I think our biggest challenge with Crew would of been keeping a hat on his head. He hates them, and it drives me nuts!

yay! That was the Robert Frost poem we were talking about over Thanksgiving huh? I still think it's about santa. That's what's so great about poetry you can interpret it to fit your own thoughts. Way great pictures! Love, love, love! That totally does look magical!
