Big Boy and Baby Ready

Things around here have been interesting.

We are all waiting {impatiently} for baby sister and have been trying to get everything ready in the meantime.

Blaine and I just can't believe that in the midst of all this chaos, our baby Jake is not such a baby anymore.
He is one big boy and even has the "big boy bed" to prove it. He thinks his bed is pretty cool and we are pretty happy he likes it so much. Getting him to sleep without "walls" consistently has been a process but so far, so good.

Anyway... here are a bunch of pictures documenting our strange journey.

All ready for church in their zoot suits.

Now, that's a handsome boy!

Baby's new digs.

His and Hers.

Baby's first bed.

Detail of Sarah's blanket... made by yours truly.

Both blankets... I made a Jakey blanket too. I am so domestic.
{har har.}

"Big Boy Bed."

Time to fill up this bow board. {Also handmade my moi.}

You bake AND sew?! If you are wondering about what to get me for Christmas you should just bake a bunch of cookies and then wrap them in a blanket that is "Amy sized". It's not like you are going to be busy with a newborn and a toddler, right? I can't wait to meet baby Sarah! If that name falls through, the name Amy has worked pretty well for me these past few years.

Good luck playing the waiting game. Jake's little suit is adorable - I always wanted to be able to buy one of those :)

Good luck with everything Alicia. You are such a good Mom. Two babies doubles the work but it doubles the love and fun too. You'll be awsome as the mother of 2!

Gasp! Your nursery looks straight out of a magazine! A fine art print over the crib and a coordinating handmade blanket!!! If I didn't love you like the dickens, I'd despise you.

A.maz.ing. 1) Good job on the bassinet, I love the Klimt print above the crib, and the adorable blanket looks professionally made. I also want to compliment Jake's bed and wall decor. 2) Let's get Sarah here.
